We’re open for lunch and dinner seven days a week and the restaurant is always very busy. Keeping the place clean and hygienic is a must. Not just the kitchens but front of house, the bar, reception and the toilets of course.


We wipe the tables and chairs down after every cover so we need cleaners that don’t smell or damage the fabrics or materials. So any harsh substances are out.


The food preparation and cooking areas need special treatment. Bleaches and alcohols aren’t ideal and in fact any substance that could taint the food is banned.


We started using STERI-7 XTRA a little while back and the results have been nothing short of spectacular. It’s got this special thing in it called Reactive Barrier Technology. We wipe the STERI-7 XTRA on and when it dries it leaves a really thin layer on the surface. This kills any germs that land on it and keeps doing it between cleans.

Reactive Barrier Technology is a 7th Generation specialised Micro-Emulsion which provides an optional sustained release system – this means that the Reactive Barrier can be switched on or off depending on the situation. It’s simple, if you rinse STERI-7 XTRA after application you remove the Reactive Barrier, if you leave STERI-7 XTRA to dry you enable the Reactive Barrier Technology providing added biosecurity and protection between cleans.
